Closing the tap on certain items

Some items, e.g. the burette, have a tap. The tap position can be controlled using a property called "Tap position", which will appear when you select the item:

Burettes

By default, if the tap is closed, the jet of the item will not be filled with liquid. Burettes have a special option to fill the jet if the tap is closed. This can be done by unticking the "Empty jet" option that appears when the tap is in a closed position:
