Cropping the diagram
When downloading your image, by default the entire diagram will be downloaded. However, sometimes you may find it useful to restrict which part of the diagram is downloaded:
- you only want to download a portion of the diagram, e.g. you are creating instructions with multiple steps but drew it first as one big diagram
- you require the image to be of a fixed size, e.g. you are creating frame-by-frame animations and need all images to be the same size.
You can do this by setting the export area.
Setting an export area
- 1
- First, make sure that you don't have any items selected, so that the "Diagram Settings" panel appears
- 2
- In the " Export" section, for "Export area", click on "Selection"
- 3
- A red rectangle frame will appear, indicating the area that will be downloaded. Click and drag on the small red circles to resize the area.
- 4
- Click anywhere else on the red frame to reposition the area.
- 5
- Once you've adjusted the frame to your liking, click on Download Image. Only selected area will be exported instead of the entire diagram.
