Data Sharing Agreement
This Data Sharing Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between Codelite Ltd, the parent company of Chemix, hereinafter referred to as the "Company," and the individual or a member of an organisation, such as a school or another company, interacting with the Chemix application, hereinafter referred to as the "User."
1. Data Shared
The User shall provide the following data to the Company:
- Email address
- Name
- Profile picture
These are obtained whenever the User signs in to the application via one of the providers (Google, Microsoft or Facebook), via OAuth API.
if the User signs in using "Sign in with Code", only the email address is obtained.

If the User has an active subscription with the Company, the Company may use the User's email address to send emails to the User relating to their subscription, such as notification of upcoming payment, trial expiry or subscription cancellation.
The Company shall not use the Email Address for sending marketing or promotional material, such as offering discounts or inducing the User to subscribe.
The Company shall not share the data with any third-party.
4. Data Security
The Company agrees to implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the shared data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration. The Company shall take reasonable steps to ensure the security and confidentiality of the data.

5. Data retention
The data is retained indefinitely, unless explicitly requested by the User to be removed.
6. User's rights
The User retains the right to access, correct, or request deletion of their data. Any such requests should be directed to support@chemix.org. A request to delete the User's data will also lead to deletion of the User's account and associated data (such as any saved diagrams).
By agreeing to this Data Sharing Agreement, the User acknowledges that they have read and understood the terms and conditions stated herein and hereby give their explicit consent for the sharing and processing of their data as outlined in this Agreement.
